Marlborough Girls' College students have retaliated in their own style after year 13 students from Marlborough Boys' College did their annual grundy run through the girls' college grounds on Monday.
Despite an early lunch hour organised by girls' college staff to avoid the boys showing off their underwear, the efforts didn't go unnoticed.
The girls responded last night by decorating the boys' college school pavilion with an assortment of bras, knickers, balloons and farewell messages.
A large message taped to the roof read, ''Farewell from MGC, Class of '11''.
The boys' college caretaker said he saw the funny side to it when he arrived at the school about 7.15am.
''It's all good humoured, harmless enough,'' he said.
''The mighty girls strike again. Nice work.''
The 50 boys ran through the girls' college school grounds yesterday wearing boxers and briefs and one wore a glittery gold G-string. Many of them were also covered in blue paint as part of their fundraiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
