Question: Does anyone know where I could buy track tights (I need red) that are low rise instead of high rise? Internet sites preferably.
Answer: I've never heard of track tights coming in low rise and high rise. As far as I know they just come in a normal rise that stops at your waist. A good place to get track tights is eastbay.com. They have their own brand, Nike, Under Armour etc., and they do have them in red.

Demand for elastane fibres (spandex) is expected to grow considerably according to new research published by Textiles Intelligence.
In the ten years to 2010, demand for elastane fibres more than doubled from around 160,000 tonnes to over 350,000 tonnes, despite the availability of cheaper substitute stretch materials.
The authors of the ‘Stretch fibres and fabrics: reaching new levels of comfort’ report, argue this demand will continue to increase at a rapid pace for the foreseeable future.
Elastane is used in fabrics to impart stretch properties. These fabrics represent one of the fastest growing categories of the apparel market and are particularly sought after in the workwear and sportswear sectors, where freedom of movement is essential.
Growth in demand for the fibre has been attributed to the rise in sales of elastane garments in China, Brazil and India, as well as an increase in the number of apparel applications for stretch fibres and fabrics.

I must admit that this is my first time trying this on. It feels nice around the hips. I don’t feel like it is too low. I guess for those times when I used to wear pantyhose under pants, this would be perfect.
Yesterday I was talking to a woman who said that her mother brought her some warm pantyhose. She pulled up her sweater and under her jeans she had very high rise control top, but her jeans were low cut. It looked kind of strange, but I guess maybe she pulls up the pantyhose so high on purpose for extra warmth around the waist.
