Former jockey Darrin Skerrett rode at the Wyndham trials yesterday.
It was the first time he had ridden competitively since retiring from race-riding three years ago. Skerrett, who owns a Lumsden courier run, finished second on Loose Goose and Dino yesterday.
He has no plans to renew his jockey's licence.
''Although, you never know what the future holds,'' Skerrett, of Gore, said.

Open class sprinter Not Tonite is a newcomer to Kelly Thompson's Ascot Park stable. Not Tonite, formerly trained at Foxton by David Haworth and Matt Dixon, finished seventh at Wanganui on October 15 at his last start.
Thompson is forming a syndicate to race Not Tonite and people interested in a share should contact the horseman. Alfred, who won three races for Thompson, is in retirement after being struck down with a recurring respiratory problem. The chestnut had a wind operation last season.
