EAGLE LAKE - Polk County Sheriff's deputies are looking for three men accused of stealing a man's gold necklace and hitting him with a gun.

About 10 p.m. Wednesday, the victim said he saw three men in his front yard on East Findley Avenue in Eagle Lake wearing all black and red bandanas, deputies said.

The men confronted the man and took a necklace he was wearing then hit him with a gun, deputies said.

The men left in a black Ford Fusion.

Anyone with information about the robbery can contact Polk County Sheriff's Office Detective Jason Whatley at 863-557-0304.

Riding the bus is free for today

WINTER HAVEN - Polk County Transit Services and Winter Haven Area Transit will offer the annual Free Ride Friday today.

Free Ride Friday gives riders an opportunity to use the bus system free of charge on the day after Thanksgiving.

In addition to routes in Winter Haven, Winter Haven Transit, Citrus Connection and Polk County Transit also serve residents in Auburndale, Bartow, Eloise, Eagle Lake, Highland City, Lake Wales, Lake Alfred, Haines City, Wahneta and Lakeland.
