Rams women win consolation crown
Tabitha Torres knocked down 5 3-pointers and scored 29 points to pace Fresno City's 78-53 rout of Merced in the consolation final of the Merced women's tournament.
Torres was named to the all-tournament team. Sarina Sayama had 15 points and four assists for the Rams (3-2). The Blue Devils (2-2) were led by Verleah Jones' 14 points.
In other games, Reedley lost to host Cuesta 84-60 and Porterville fell 68-65 to Victor Valley at the Barstow tournament.
