Normally I prefer briefs and thought that the 5% spandex might help keep me cooler. As far as I am concerned the spandex blend is ideal, as it is both non abrasive and breathes fairly well. The stitching is the same on both the inside and out. On most boxer briefs they don't do a very good job with the inner stitching, leaving a fabric "edge" which can irritate the groin area when sweating and moving. I also like the lack of a front area. The waistband is very soft, and non-abrasive. I have only been wearing these for about a two month, but have not had any problems with them "riding up" so far.
